STOCK MARKET at 4 Year LOW!

Category: Uncategorized

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped below 10,000 for the first time since October 2004…not good.

Not to poke fun at those who work on the trading floor (this is a very dire situation), but when things like this happen, there is never a shortage of pictures of Wall Street traders doing that SAME depressed-looking pose.  You have to wonder if they pose like this purposely at multiple times during the day hoping that a photographer is taking a picture of them,  knowing that it will end up on the Yahoo Finance Page.  One of these guys has to come up with a new pose at some point.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW: “Chunk” From The Goonies

Category: Uncategorized

“Chunk” (Then)

This session of WHERE ARE THEY NOW features “Chunk,” the plump, loveable, truffle-shuffling lardass from the classic movie, THE GOONIES.”  What ever happened to this guy?  Well, after his landmark role in THE GOONIES, Chunk did some episodic Television (”Family Ties,” “Facts of Life,” etc.).  He then attended college at UC Berkeley followed by law school at UCLA.  In 2002, “Chunk” co-founded his own entertainment lawfirm Cohen & Gardner, which is based in Beverly Hills.

Throwback Album Of The Month: Enter The Wu Tang (36 Chambers)

Category: Uncategorized

\

This is the only album I own that I can recite from beginning to end including intermissions (which by the way are some of the funniest and most random intermissions to ever be recorded on an album).  36 Chambers came out in ‘93 (during the golden area of hip hop) and was largely responsible for putting Wu Tang on the map on a widescale.

This album sparked my lifelong love and respect for East Coast hip hop: The scratching in the intro of “Shame” was one of the main reasons I got into DJ’ing, because I wanted to be able to do things like that.  From beginning to end, this album is a definite classic from the original Wu Tang Clan (RZA, GZA, ODB, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, U-God, Ghostface and Meth).  Pop it in your ipod today.

Facebook Narcissists

Category: Uncategorized

A recent study conducted at the University of Georgia has shown that the number of friends and wall posts a person has on his/her facebook profile is directly proportional to how narcissistic they are, siting that this is how narcissists act in the real world.

On a side note, please add us as friends on facebook…Our goal is to have an infinite amount of facebook friends.

Barcopa

Category: Uncategorized

Came through for a set with Kevin Seaton, and old H-Dub friend of mine who resides over the tables every Wednesday night. Kev and I used to play soccer at H-Dub from 7th grade to Varsity. I wasn’t really that good, I pretended like I was but Iater realized that its harder than you think to pretend to be good at something because once people see you doing it, the secret is out. Anyway, Barcopa is a good little spot on Main Street in Venice, definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Friendly Barteder/Outkast Fan. On a sidenote, I’ve been wearing the same Maui & Son’s sweatshirt every day for the past month now I think. My brother got it for me…What up Sheldon????

NBC Fall 2008 Scheduling Party

Category: Uncategorized

Adam Carolla broadcasted live during the NBC Fall 2008 Scheduling Party at Blvd3.  We had the pleasure of playing for a packed house during intermissions.  Pretty interesting to see a radioshow done live.

Standard PRCPs (Poser Red Carpet Pics).  If you’re not sure what that is, check out a few posts down.

“NBC’d Out” - Not a real word, but thats how you could describe the decorations.  Everywhere you turned, it was a different NBC banner, sign, Ice Sculpture etc.  It was pretty cool.

Doin the do…Carolla in the backround doing his thing.  Funny story, Everett was playing a Jack & Dianne mash-up right before Adam went on the air and in his opening monologue he said “nothing like hearing a techno version of Jack and Dianne.” We got clowned…it was funny.

Scenery shots…Sasha and Stephanie, Peruvians from the South Bay up top and Daisy down below.  If you had to guess between a) model b) actress c)model/actress d) neurobiology student, what would you say that Daisy is?  If you guessed (d), you are correct.

One of these two was a contestant on America’s Next Top Model.

Gerardo mentioned the Jack and Dianne Fiasco to Adam…Adam gave him a look to the effect of “What are you talking about dude?  Do I know you?  What is that awful awful design on your shirt?  Is that a guitar, because if it is, its a pretty weak excuse for a guitar…and is that a fart I smell?”  Weird how you can tell what people are thinking just by the way they look at you.  Gerardo ripped ass right before the pic was taken.  Homie in the back was feelin the aftermath as you can see.

Thats all for now folks…
